Let’s get started! 💪
🔧 What You’ll Need
- 💻 A working PC with internet (to make the installer)
- 🔌 A USB drive (8GB or more)
- 🖥️ The computer you want to install Windows 11 on
🛠️ Step 1: Download the Windows 11 ISO

- Scroll down to “Download Windows 11 Disk Image (ISO)”
- Choose Windows 11 (multi-edition ISO) and click Download
- Select your language (usually English), and then click 64-bit Download
This file will be around 6GB, so it may take a while depending on your internet.
💾 Step 2: Download Rufus (Tool to Make USB
Bootable)
- Go to the official Rufus website:👉 https://rufus.ie/
- Scroll down to the “Download” section and click the latest version of Rufus (usually at the top)
- When it’s done, double-click the rufus-xxx.exe file to run it👉 No install is needed — it runs right away.
🔌 Step 3: Plug in Your USB and Make It Bootable
- Insert your USB drive (at least 8GB) into your PC
- In Rufus:
- Under “Device,” select your USB stick
- Under “Boot selection,” click SELECT and pick the ISO file you downloaded earlier
- Partition scheme: GPT
- File system: NTFS
- Volume label: You can leave as-is or name it “WIN11”
- Optional: Click the checkbox “Remove requirement for TPM/Secure Boot” if your target PC is old
- Click START
- It will erase everything on the USB. Confirm when it asks.
- Wait until it says READY — you now have a Windows 11 install USB!
⚙️ Step 4: Boot From USB on the Target PC

- Turn on the computer and immediately press the Boot Menu key
- Common keys:

- MSI / Gigabyte: F11
- You may need to tap it repeatedly right after turning on the PC
- Common keys:
- In the boot menu, select the USB drive (it may say “UEFI: [Your USB Brand]”)
🧱 Step 5: Install Windows 11
- Once the Windows installer loads:
- Choose your language and click Next
- Click Install now
- If asked for a product key:
- If you don’t have one, click “I don’t have a product key”
- You can activate it later with a Microsoft account or key
- Choose the edition (usually Windows 11 Home or Pro)
- Select Custom: Install Windows only (advanced)This lets us do a clean install.
🧼 Step 6: Clean Your Drive (Optional but Recommended)
This will ERASE your drive completely.

- Drive 0 Partition 2: System
- Drive 0 Partition 3: Primary
- Click on each one and choose Delete, until you’re left with only:
- Drive 0: Unallocated Space
